Can you lead?
Do you have energy and ideas overflowing out of your ears? Are you most at home in a room full of people, helping bring out the best in them? Fantastic! Sounds like you’ll be great as Cheltenham District’s Youth Commissioner!
You will be supported by the County Youth Commissioner, Lauren Greening, as well as the Cheltenham District Executive Committee.
There is an informal chat about the position at the District HQ on Thursday 18th August at 19:30.
Be sure to share this with anyone who may be interested.
Can you lead and inspire?
Are you enthusiastic with unmeasurable energy, and a drive to succeed? Are you most at home in a room full of people, helping bring out the best in them? Fantastic! Sounds like you’ll be great as the next District Commissioner, a volunteer who supports Scouting in Cheltenham.
As District Commissioner you will offer support to Scout Groups, while helping open new ones. You will manage adults, setting objectives and holding regular one to ones. Most importantly you will ensure that Scouting offers an enjoyable and attractive programme for young people helping prepare them for a bright future.
Although no Scouting experience is necessary, you will know how to motivate people, produce a local development plan and have the charisma to inspire your team. Above all, you will believe passionately in Scouting for All, helping Scouting grow, become more inclusive, more youth shaped and make a positive impact in local communities.
It’s a challenging role, but the rewards are huge, improving the outcomes of thousands of young people.
Scouting offers fun, friendship and life changing adventure to over 450,000 young people across the UK. But this is only made possible by our talented teams of volunteers.
