YouShape 2016

YouShape Badge 2016

The national #YouShape 2016 event is taking place 5-7 February. However there are great opportunities to get involved with YouShape 2016 in your section as well!

All the discussion doesn’t have to happen at the national YouShape event. There are some fantastic ideas, for all sections, around what to discuss, how to deliver fun and effective activities as well as youth forums. These are for you to use during YouShape week and will also contain information on how to get involved in the national conversation. You can find where to get your YouShape Week certificates and opportunities to receive participation badges in the new section specific Youth Shaped resources below!

Remembrance 2015

Lest We Forget

Around the District, Beavers, Cubs Scouts and Explorers, along with many others around the county spent some time on Sunday morning paying their respects to those who lost their lives during conflict.

Over thirty Cheltenham Explorers were on parade at the Cheltenham service on the Promenade. They gave out programmes go the public, joined in the parade and laid the District’s wreath. They all looked very smart with immaculate uniforms and shiny shoes!

We were also invited to send seven Explorer to the town hall in the evening. They gave out programmes, escorted VIPs, and joined in the parade with our flag. Two Explorers read a poem during the service and even got the chance to talk to the Lord Lieutenant and Alex Chalk (MP for Cheltenham) afterwards.

If you joined in a Remembrance Service and have helped the Royal British Legion with fundraising you are well on your way to gaining the Poppy Badge. More information →
