Cheltenham Explorers are aged 14–18, Explorers is the fourth section of Scouting. Explorer Scouts have a programme that they create themselves with the help of leaders, enjoying the activities that they love the most!

There are over 120 Explorers in Cheltenham plus a team of over 20 Explorer Scout Leaders. Cheltenham has Units meeting on every night of the week (Monday–Friday) as well as our specialist units, the Wyell Young Leader Unit and the Octopus Scuba Diving Unit, which meet less frequently. All Units have an exciting programme which includes fun & challenging activities, camps and the gaining of valuable awards, such as the highly recognised Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, which will help them in later life.

Chris Brewster (District Explorer Scout Commissioner) <[email protected]> is the main contact for information about Explorers in Cheltenham.
