Eastleigh and Cheltenham District Explorers have combined to offer a chance to get away for Easter and relax before the onslaught of revision in the Summer Term We have booked two 70ft narrow boats on the Grand Union Canal from Thursday 24th March (Evening) until Easter Sunday 27th March (evening). Cheltenham and Eastleigh Explorers have a long history of joint activity and this adventure offers a great opportunity to meet up with old friends or come and make a new set.
We will head north going through Watford to the high point of the canal at Tring. During daylight hours you will helm and crew the boat north along the Grand Union Canal, operating locks, swing bridges and allowing the world to go past at a steady but slow pace. During the darker hours we cook and run various sociable activities.
Any places not taken by end of January will be offered to the County.
